The PTO at GEMS is an active organization. Through out the year we engage in many fundraising and support activities. We look forward to seeing new faces and returning friends at the next PTO Meeting. Membership information is available on the Handouts page.
Remember: Parent involvement is the difference between an
ordinary school and an extraordinary school!
If you can only volunteer once, it makes a huge difference.
Fall Fund-Raiser
No more Cookie Dough and Magazine orders for the GEMS Fall Fund-raiser will be accepted.
Online ordering is available this year for non-cookie dough items. Orders can be made online year round to benefit Glen Este Middle School, but only those processed by October 31st will be counted toward the Fall Fund-raiser.
The Pick-up date for Cookie Dough Orders in Wednesday, December 10th fron 3:00 - 8:00 PM in the MPR. Volunteers are need for the Pick-up date. You do not need to be there for the full time, just indicate your availability. CLICK HERE to volunteer to help.
Looking for Volunteer Coordinator
We DESPERATELY need a Volunteer Coordinator. The Volunteer Coordinator duties include keeping the Volunteer Book up to date, calling/emailing volunteers to remind them of events, and providing necessary items for volunteers such as tickets, cash box, lists, etc. If this is something you want to do or want more information, please contact the PTO Board.

Want to try a new recipe? You've heard about Pumpkin Pie Pudding or Berry Trifle? Well, now is your chance to get these and other great recipes from the PTO. We are fortunate to have many talented cooks in our community. So, this year a Recipe page has been created to share some of the requested recipes. It can be found under the Handouts page.

OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program
The OLWEUS Bullying Prevention Program has been implemented at the Glen Este Middle School. The children were introduced to the program in February 2008 and we will start this school year with the program already in place.
